Ring Size Guide
Finding your ring size should feel easy. Whether you are shopping for yourself, planning a surprise, or choosing a wedding band, here is everything you need to find the perfect fit from home. And if you are ever unsure, we would love to size you in person at the boutique.
The Easiest Way // Visit The Boutique
Stop by 1417 Vine Street in Over the Rhine and we will size you in a few minutes, no appointment needed during open hours. We have sizers for every width, so we can find your fit for a dainty stacker and a wider band alike.
Measure At Home With A Ring You Love
- Choose a ring that fits the finger you are shopping for.
- Lay it flat on a ruler and measure the inside diameter in millimeters, from inside edge to inside edge.
- Match your measurement to the inside diameter in the chart below. If you land between two sizes, choose the larger one.
Measure At Home With String Or Paper
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or string snugly around the base of your finger.
- Mark where the ends meet, then lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters.
- Match your measurement to the circumference in the chart below. Make sure it can still slide over your knuckle comfortably.

A Few Sizing Secrets
- Measure at the end of the day when your hands are warm. Fingers are smallest in the morning and in the cold.
- Wider bands fit more snugly, so for anything wider than 4mm we suggest going up half a size.
- If your knuckle is larger than the base of your finger, size for the knuckle so your ring slides on and stays on.
- Stacking rings and dainty bands are the most forgiving, while signets and wedding bands are worth measuring twice.
Shopping For Someone Else
Borrow a ring they already wear on that finger and measure it at home, or bring it with you to the boutique and we will size it for you. If the surprise matters most, most women wear between a 5 and a 7, and a 6 is a lovely place to start. We are always happy to help you size after the moment. We are also really great at finding size from an image of her hand in scale to her body/relative object if all else fails.
Half Sizes And Resizing
Many of our rings are available in half sizes, and each product page lists the sizes available to order online. If you need a size not listed, email makeityours@laneandkate.com and we will do our best to make it happen. Sizing time varies by designer and style, and some designs like full eternity bands cannot be resized, which is noted on the product page.
Still unsure? Email makeityours@laneandkate.com or call 513.381.1122, we cannot wait to help you find your fit.
